okay guys. i have a really great idea for a fic, but i don’t feel my knowledge of jason todd is up to it just yet. so i was wondering, if anyone could explain me the personality of PRE-DEATH jason/his moral code/his relationships with batfam or point me to some comics that write him well? preferably with lots of batfam interaction.

Jason as a good boy, as being Robin, is more then the “he was hot headed, always jumping head first without thinking, full of rage…” Jason was not those.
Jason was a hot headed kid, yes at first. I mean, the kid tired to jack the tires off the Batmobile. (That’s some damn bawls right there) and Batman laughed.
Jason had “issues” with Dick. Dick was kinda being a dick at the time and kinda gave Jason a hard time, but the two worked ok together. (Bruce never told Dick that Jason was the new Robin and because of that, issues happened.)
Alfred loved Jason. He loved how the boy got good grades and was a nice kid all round. The two drank tea together. (And when Jason died, Alfred blamed Bruce, but he didn’t have the heart to tell Bruce that.)
Bruce himself, cared for the boy. Took to him like he was “his” son. Because at that time, Jason was his son. (still is) Jason saved Bruce more times then most people care to remember. (Hell, Jason saved Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman at one point, all by himself.)Bruce found out what food Jason liked (Chili Dogs) is favorite color (Green) and so forth.
Barbara was his private tutor. It was a cute sister brother thing really.
Harvey Bullock and Jason (as Robin) would sit and chat for a bit and Jason and Harvey used to sit and watch old Movies together.
For his short time with the Teen Titans, he helped Donna Troy, who had become the leader of the Teen Titans. She had a hard time and it was Jason who helped her the most, giving her strength when she needed it.
Before Jason died, he even questioned if being Robin was the right thing for him to be. He loved it yes, but he just really wanted to be there for people, help them really.
Then something happened, where Batman started to watch Jason’s attitude and it started with a did he/didn’t he kill a rapist? As Batman and Robin, Jason helped a woman who was raped twice by a man. She was so scared of it happening again, she killed herself and Jason found her body. Jason was so pissed, he went to the rapist’s house to scare him. The rapist fell to his death and no one really knows of Jason pushed him or not…
The one thing about Jason that is known, is that he cares greatly for women and children. It probably had to do with his up-bringing in Gotham, where he watched people like his mother die from cancer/drug over dose. Where women sold their bodies to make money and children who had to lie and do other things to get by.

GUys, i spent an absurdly long time modding Saints Row the Third just so I could play as Jason Todd. There are more tweaks I want to make. This was my first time modding. I kept running into stupid errors, but now I know.
