Why does it seem like everyone forgets about Kida, Pocahontas, and Mulan? All 3 of those princesses, though mostly forgotten, were never trying to find love, though they did find it in the end. Kida wanted to help her people/learn more about how to help them. Pocahontas also wanted to help her people and also wanted to stop a war from breaking out. Then Mulan wanted to find out who she really was/wanted to make her father proud of her. Everyone forgets about these wonderful princesses and it’s a shame because their strong, beautiful, and smart; plus they can kick some butt.
[[ how about Eilonwy?
[Actually basically all the Disney princesses acted upon their own dreams and not love.
I think Ariel is the only one that did what she did for the love (Romantically) of a man.
Rapunzel: Fled her tower because she desperately wanted to live life and see the lanterns. She only left with a man because that’s who gave her the opportunity. She just happened to fall in love along the way, but how does that mean that she was motivated by love? She was motivated by a dream.
Cinderella: She wanted to do more than be a maid. She really wanted to attend the ball and be more than the over worked step sister. She wasn’t the one to seek out her ‘love at first sight’, yeah that would be the prince. He was the one motivated by love.
Tiana: She was motivated by the love of cooking, her father an the dream that she had with her dad. She thought Naveen was a freaking idiotic jerk. How the hell does that motivate her life with love. Another case where the prince is the one motivated by love.
Belle: Motivated by the love of her father and her independence. Her compassion for life and giving Beast a second chance, that was what led to love. He was the one that needed to find someone to love an was his motivation.
Snow White: Hmm..there wasn’t too much motive for her that I can remember. Her step mother was kind of threatening her life..all because she was more pretty..and then she sat there a good portion of a movie.
Sleeping Beauty: …She really didn’t do much….
Jasmine: Wasn’t really the hero of the movie, but when she was, she did it for the love of her father an kingdom. She rejected Aladdin ha..
And the three in the pictures are explained enough.
So like…yup.]
